Unusual Hotel in the World (Part II)
90Today is the best day for me to write this hub. To continue my passion in traveling, I though hotel review is good for me and I try to share useful information related with traveling activities. We all know that hotel is the part of traveling activities. We need a place to stay during the trip or during the holiday. With many considerations we have right in choosing the best hotel for us. If we brought family, we need big room or more than one room to accommodate our family member. We should consider our budget while traveling. Hotel is one of the things that require additional fees. Although we can choose a cheap hotel, we can find all information before beginning the trip. We need reservation in early on.
I thought we all know about this, don’t stay in hotel at peak season or special holiday. The rate is certainly more expensive than previous days. There are many types hotel over there, which ones is best for you? It depend yourself, your budget, and of course travel destination. The closer of a hotel with tourist destination, of course the rent is more expensive. We should be able to accept this, with everything prepared before, by saving maybe.
Star hotel or international hotel has a certain standard of service and facilities. If you are someone who likes to travel, you would easily choose the hotel that suits you. For cheap hotel, we also get some extra benefits. Difference in price you can use to enjoy the facilities provided in your vacation spot. Such as tour packages, trekking, or practicing the local language. Although we don’t get all facilities like in five star hotel or international hotels, this hotel is also suitable for backpackers.
Actually this hub is the second part from my previous hub about the same topic. While searching more than two days and doing research in collection valid information finally I can create beautiful hub about unusual hotel in the world. If you get bored with usual hotel, maybe you can try to visit and stay to these hotel someday. These hotels have different place with others and it also supporting by beautiful scenery around the hotel. Wow….amazing and breathtaking experience. You can put these hotels on your travel list. I believe you wouldn’t regret with these hotels. I thought some of people love with something weird or unusual and these hotels are really unusual hotel in the world. Please check it out below!
Magic Mountain Hotel, Chile
Personally, I was impressed with this hotel. Magic Mountain Hotel itself is shaped like a volcano, it has a waterfall which spews from out of the top, there is a cable bridge leading to its front door. There’s something made me interesting is it covering a moss or plant life. It made this hotel like a hobbit home. Magic mountain hotel is located within the Huilo Huilo Private Natural Reserve in Chile. If you want to be “George of the jungle” you can try this to stay at this hotel. This hotel made by a local wood and stone. There’s nine rooms are equipped with modern facilities, there’s a Hot Tubs made by huge tree trunks. Every each rooms has own named after a different local species of bird. From the window, we can overlook Chile’s forest and the wildlife, like: eagles, lizards, toucans, puma, condors, iguanas and also the world's smallest deer species. Another facilities around Magic Mountain are restaurant which offered Chilean cuisines (like Pastel de Papas, this is delicious menus with combinations between mashed potatoes, olives, onions, add, and meat baked together) and mini gold course build into the forest. Just prepare around $250 to $400 per night. This is also suitable for larger groups contain 4-6 people.
Ice hotel, Sweden
If you following my hubs, I thought you know with my passion to touch snow in person. Just saw the picture of Ice Hotel made me want to see this hotel someday. From Wikipedia.com I also get the clearly information about ice hotel. Ice hotel is a temporary hotel made by sculpted blocks of ice and snow. This hotel is always attracted with many visitors which interested in novelties and unusual environments. We can find ice sculptures, food and beverages long the lobbies. There are several places we can find this hotel, like: Canada, Norway, Romania, Finland. All of the ice hotels are reconstructed every year during exhibition.
This time I’ll review about The Swedish Ice hotel. This hotel is located on the shores of the Torne River, Jukkasjärvi, Sweden. The construction began in October using 30,000 tons of snow and 10,000 tones of ice. It has over 80 rooms. What can we see around this hotel? We can see a lot of features like: as ice chapel, an ice cinema, Vodka ice bar, ice suits and ice family rooms. Based on the history, this hotel was built in 1990 by French artist, Annot Derid. This is like a giant igloo. Do you know igloo? Igloo is the traditional house for Eskimo tribe. The Swedish Ice Hotel always opened from December through April, with cold temperatures between -5 C to -8 C. The room cost start around $300 per night.
Poseidon Undersea Hotel, Fiji
This is one of the best underwater hotel in the world. Poseidon Hotel was located 40 feet underwater in Fiji. We can find the unforgettable moment by sleeping with the fishes. Of course we don’t really sleeping with many fishes, but we stay under giant aquarium with star hotel facilities beneath the waves. This is like a resort which is located amongst a 5,000-acre Fijian lagoon. We can find luxury facilities, like: elevator, each room made of four-inch acrylic, 24 suits and special apartment on the bottom of the sea. Please enjoy amazing activities, like: scuba diving and snorkeling, try amazing underwater travel with a luxury liner submarine including mini-sub, walk on the lagoon floor, resort spa and other awesome adventures. Visitors can interact with sea animals. There is a special button for spraying the fish food and colored lights to turn on the atmosphere. Wow….. It’s sound great. What do you think about this place? If you have a plan in visiting this hotel, just prepare $15,000 per person. You can try another package for each couple with the cost about $30,000 in a week stay plus a four night stay in a luxury beach villa and two nights in an underwater suite. This is comparable to the price of a premium car in my country (a brand new car). I am not really sure, this hotel has been operated or just a plan. But the idea was really great. You can find complete information by visiting this site: http://www.poseidonresorts.com/poseidon_main.html
727 Fuselage Hotel or Costa Verde Hotel, Costa Rica
This Hotel has the same idea with Jumbo Hostel in Arlanda Airport, Stockholm. You can read the review about this hotel in my hub with the title “Unique Hotel in the World (part I)”. This hotel was located in Manuel Antonio National Park (Coastal rainforest) near Quepo, Costa Rica. This is the most eye-catching hotel rooms on the Pacific. This is a unique hotel with a luxury two-bedroom suite complete with air conditioner, a flat screen TV, and then the natural finishing touch is hardwood decks built over the wings. Gamirasu Cave Hotel, Turkey
By staying in Garamisu Cave Hotel we like living in a stone age. At the same time we can feel the sensation became a caveman. Don’t imagine we'll stay at the dark and dirty hotel. But this is a hotel which attached to the volcanic rocks, and this makes the temperature inside remains cool. Gamirasu Cave Hotel was located in the heart of Cappadocia, Turkey. These hotels look interesting, but I have to travel on a budget or not travel at all. therefore I look for a low price, friendliness to pets and maybe breakfast in the morning.
Wow. Those are pretty amazing hotels. Voted "awesome".
I always am amazed by your topics and your research.
These are beautiful and unique places to stay and your hub makes them so alluring and interesting. well put together and brilliantly illustrated- thanks for the read- awesome!
This was a great and amazing hub and I really enjoyed it. It looks interesting. Rated up awesome.
Sweet wishes Rhonda
Prasetio, Fascinating! Beautiful and intriguing assortment of unusal hotels! You have prepared another wonderful presentation! Thank you for sharing, Peace & Blessings!
Dear prasetio30,
Its once again a great hub. But I have a different question to ask.. What make you keep writing? As I follow you regularly and find that you post almost every day. How you do this?
Undersea sounds fine. The rest do not appeal at all. Great collection though and an interesting write up. Thank you.
I would love to stay at the magic mountain hotel. that to me seems almost like paradise. thanks for posting such a great hub.
Another one of my favorite hubs an HP's. Great photos and info Prasetio. I always love going to new places, thanks for taking me there my friend, Peace!! Tom
These hotels are beyond awesome, prasetio - they are unique and unbelievable. I have visited one - the Ice Hotel in Sweden but did not stay overnight. Too cold for me. The others are intriguing and I would like to visit the Airplane Fuselage Hotel in Costa Rica.
Thank you for making these fantastic hotels come alive in your well-written hub with its stunning photos.
Hi, Prasetio - I love these unique hotels! The Ice hotel is beautiful but the cold would be way too much. The rest are just incredible but I think I like the Magic Mt. best. It would be so much fun staying there, you wouldn't want to leave the hotel! Wonderful hub! Peace!
Prasetio -- Stayed at your Turkey Hotel. Though it was unique, it was also close to the road; we heard truck traffic all night. To your list, add De Barge in Bruge, Belgium. Actual barge converted to floating hotel, with wonderful management and four star breakfasts. In Berlin, we first met one of the new Citaden apartment hotels. Though guests need to make the bed and change linen, breakfast was a meal for a day and location is walking distance to public transport. David Russell (see my Berlin hub this coming Friday)
Unbelievable! My favorite, The Magic Mountain in Chile. I would love to see it in person. Thank you again. Your travel hubs are amazing.
Cheers
Well,it's all outside my budget but fascinating places. Even if I had the money I would pass on the Ice Hotel though.

Wow Prasetio - what a unique hotel that would be to go to! I'd surely love to see it.

Oh my goodness prasetio, these are all so beautiful. I'd like to visit all but two of them, and they are the one under water, and the one surrounded by ice. Very good prasetio, voted up/awesome, beautiful!
Absolutely Amazing. These are not 5 star hotels. These are Triple 10 Star Hotels.
I like the Bedroom in the Aquarium but I hope the glass can't break Prasetio. I don't want any sharks visiting. :)
Great Share.
I have come to expect great hubs from you and this one doesn't disappoint! I especially like the air plane conversion it reminds me of " The Swiss Family Robinson " Ship in the tree house dwelling. Great work my friend!
Hi prasetio30 Great hub! I'd love to stay in any of those hotels... especially the mountain magic or the cave ones. Think the most unusual hostal i ever stayed in was a train hostal in Donegal Ireland. The old-fashioned train carriages were converted into rooms. It wasn't very posh, pretty cheap and basic, but it was cool! ;) thanks for sharing that great information!
Awesome as usual pasetio, it would pretty cool to be able to see some of these first hand.
Fun stuff.
And another splendid hub which only prasetio can put togehter. Great to see them all. Thank you.

voted up and awesome!
What fun - and this is what I'd like to do - travel the world to stay at these unique places - an adventure in itself.
I did stay at a floating Hotel in Amsterdam known as the Boatel - it looks just like a boat and sits on the water walking distance from Centraal Station. Very clever.
Thanks for all the info - I will bookmark and of course it's rated up. Yay!
I do they are somewhat odd, yet at the same time very fantasy provoking too. The icy one and underwater, both seem like nature lovers dreams come true, I know I would just adore these places. They would inspire the child writer in you to come out and play for a while I think. Fairy tales here we come, right! Very beautiful, thanks.
I would love to visit every one of these. Thanks for putting this list together - wow! What fun! Rated up! Yay!
Amazing! I have to say the ice hotel is definitely the "coolest". har har.
Beautiful interesting hub and great photos, I really like that Hotel in Turkey looks really cozy and sensual, I think it would be cool to have a home like that too. natural stone no need to paint, Oh yeah I could live with that.

These would all be fun to stay in and experience for a time. Thanks for presenting these unusual hotels from around the world. Which one would you like to stay in first if money was no object? I think that I would first choose the undersea one...as long as there were no leaks. Ha! All up votes except funny. Thanks!
