Stamps was published for the first time in England. It created by Sir Rowlan Hill. With his innovative help people to communicate to each other by stick the stamps on the envelope. Bhutan as a one of the country in Himalaya obtain foreign exchange revenue from selling postage stamps for philately collections around the world. We get a lot of benefit from the stamps like: the stamp can stick the relationship between children and parents, fellow friends, peace among world leaders. stay away from drugs, love the environment and sports. introduce the culture of a country and the resort. Inside the stamps contain many themes with specific mission and vision.
Benefit Become Philatelist
Philately is the activity of collecting postal items. Collecting stamps is nice hobby. We can get knowledge from here. Also become an investment for the future, we get a much profits. The collector of stamp who have a lot of money, He would willing to buy a rare old stamps or first day covers. Of these fun activities that can bring a big profit for us. As a consideration is the less people who use the postal service to send a letter using stamps. Someday kind stuff like stamp to be a rare item and hard to find.
Do you know that there are some stamps become very rare and Very expensive. It looks small stuff but behind the history of the stamps, this stuff become valuable things. The value of a stamp can be seen from the age of these stamps. More old-fashioned of the stamps, it more expensive. I have the list of the most expensive stamps over the world.
The Three-Skilling Yellow
One of the Swedish government publications, first printed in 1855. Three-Skilling Yellow is one of the rarest stamps and the only remaining. With the normal stamp with blue and green color also rare stamps. In 1990 it sold reached one million dollars U.S, then in 1996 sold for $ 2.3 million. And each time this stamps sold always scored the highest number as a most expensive stamps in the world.
The first two Mauritius
The first two Mauritius is The first two series of stamps published by the British colonial government. Just only remaining the first stamps and three second stamp with unused condition. The first stamps orange sold for $ 1,072,260 and the second sold for $ 1,148,850
The inverted Jenny
The inverted Jenny was made by US postage with image a Curtiss JN-4 plane. Accidentally printed upside down; this is probably the most famous misprint in the world of American philately. Only 100 stamps of the remaining print, making it one of the stamps of the most valuable print. A November 2007 an inverted Jenny stamps sold for U.S. $ 977,500.December 2007 a mint stamps (unused / not used) with very good condition sold to a Wall Street executive for $ 825,000. Remaining 100 stamps have expensive price, especially if remaining one or two stamps all over the world.
British Guiana One Cent Black on Magenta
British Guiana One Cent Black on Magenta was publish on 1856. This stamps including the rarest and most expensive stamps. It printed on low quality paper in magenta with black ink. There is only one left all over the world. So this stamp was unique and no other else ever found. On 1980 it sold for $935,000.I can't imagine how much does it price now.
U.S. Franklin Z-Grill
U.S. Franklin Z-Grill was published on 1867. This is the rarest of all postage stamps in US. Only found 2 pieces that remain. On 1988, 1 cent "Z-Grill" stamp sold for $ 930,000. Maybe the price much more expensive now.

I seem to recall a Penny Black being quoted as the most expensive stamp but that was a long time ago. I used to collect stamps as a kid, one of those things I really wish I had kept doing.
I love stamps and have a few myself given to me by my late father.
I love stamp collecting but for years I didn't have the time and now I gave it up. Thank you for your interesting hub. I know most people think the Penny Black is the most expensive one, including me, but I also was told otherwise.
I collected stamps for a very short time when I was a kid. I wish I had kept some of those stamps. This is very well written. It makes me want to consider doing it again and that is the hallmark of a well written article.
Very interesting. I have always thought stamps were beautiful!
I love this hub! Always enjoy learning facts like these.
Thanks for your facts on stamps.I am a stamp collector.

What a cool Hub. I think of myself as a treasure hunter around the house. I'm always saving old coins and watches and about 10 years ago my grandfather passed and his childhood stamp collection was given to me. He collected in Canada from what seems to be around 1925 to 1934. He managed to find stamps from the 1800's and kept them nicely. There were not worth much but it was great to see how nicely he kept them and I recognized his handwriting in the pages of his books as the same handwriting from the birthday cards he send me as a child. The space between really struck me. I was holding the stamps he held all those years ago and I wonder if he thought someday he would leave them to a grandson 80 years later. I have always collected a treasure in the hopes of having someone to leave it to one day. It has no real value but its filled with stories. Your Hub reminds us all to hang onto the little things but some mean the same whether they are worthless or worth millions. If you catch my drift.
thank-you so much!!!I recieved more information in a fraction of the time its taken me to look for the stamps i have, let alone find them.I am hoping to find the value of them as well, monitarily, speaking, justwondering?

Top 1 one of the most important stamps USA, What did the stamp act congress do? it was one of the three acts for sicret Stamps. Most stamps have some kind of monetary value, condition is the most important factor to be considered when acquiring them. My Dad had started a stamp collection and I continued it for a while. I recently disassembled the old books and made some art using the postage stamps. Have sold 3 or 4 pieces so far. I love the different colors and subject matter of stamps. To this day, every stamp that enters our house is torn off of the envelopes and saved.
Another thing that investors can collect to earn profit with over time, probably better than the stock market. Its something how the age of a item can command so much money, it is all in the estimated value over time.
hi..... i just want to ask how can i sell my collection? they are old and i think some of them are rare

Hi Prasetio. Actually your blog is very informative and well organized. Im Mitch, I started collecting stamps for more than 10 year when a local store owner introduced the hobby. I would go to every corner of the Philippines to earn or buy the stamp myself. I loved my collection but I need to take a Study in Australia and I have to considered everything like the travel costs, tuition, application, food & accommodation, etc. So, I will try to raise funds selling my stuffs in Davao and at the same time my stamp collection online. I hope to meet a fair dealer/buyer so that I don't get cheated. Just in case someone is interested I will scan them please contact me at mt83080@gmail.com
