The Beauty of Stewardess (Complete With Pictures)
88I think we all familiar with plane. What do you think first when you go for traveling to another country? We all agree that the best answer is accommodation. Plane is one of the accommodations. What do we see in the plane? We can see many things in the plane. How about this question, who is the beautiful person inside the plane? I think we all agree that the answers is stewardess. Stewardess is the most beautiful person in the plane, beside the passenger also. By this hub, I want talk about the beauty of stewardess. Because stewardess kind of profession. So, I choose Business and Jobs category. I want to peel about stewardess from many sides. I hope you all enjoy reading this hub. For bonuses, I also enclose the pictures of stewardess from airlines around the world.
Do you want to be a stewardess? We all know the physical character of stewardess. But the important point a stewardess not only beautiful and tall, but there are other criteria to be a stewardess. We have to know why we choose this job, Because :
- Flight is not an office job. In the flight industry they have to flight 24 hours a day.
- They have to flight in the holiday, weekend, even where the others get holiday.
- They have to follow the rule during the flight, they have to pass several training before they flight or become the real stewardess.
- They were interested with tourism industry. And airlines are part of the tourism industry.
- Adjusting to family life, willing to leave family even leaving special moment. This is kind of responsibility for their job.

The responsibility of stewardess
Why in the opening hub, I said that become stewardess not only need physical appearance, like tall and beautiful. But they have responsibility during the flight, like:
- They have to serve the passenger, in many services. Such as : food and drink, comfort, and safety information.
- As a stewardess they have always been sensitive and sympathetic to customer needs in every situation.
- They come from many backgrounds, so they have to give loyalty to others.
- A stewardess has big responsibility for the safety and comfort of passengers from boarding plane until the landing of the plane.
- Customer satisfaction is the first priority an airline, so they have to keep it well.
- They have to make sure everyone on the plane to get a safe and comfortable journey. Both of the domestic flight or overseas flight.
- Maintain the standards of hygiene during the flight.
- They have to be able to act quickly when something happen on the plane. And also give special attention for kid who was traveling alone, a parent who bring babies, sick passengers, or a passenger who fear of flying.
- If they have special skill like foreign language skills, they could assist passengers to translate into their language.
Terms and criteria become a stewardess
Most people said that become a stewardess is personal of pride. So, what are the main terms and criteria to become a stewardess? Each Airline has different of requirements for prospective stewardess. In my country commonly terms and criteria for prospective stewardess, like:
- Aged 18 years or 19 years or more, age 40 years for senior
- Minimum height around 155cm (women) and 165cm (men).
- Have balance between weights with height.
- Be able to swim.
- Good looking.
- Having ability to communicate well.
- Well educated.
- Be able to speak English and fluently, both orally and in writing. Because all airlines now require the candidates of stewardess to speak English.
- Capable of being sensitive and serve to people from various groups, cultures and nations.
- Reliable, hard working, enthusiastic and excited.
How about your country, if there's another criteria to become a stewardess you can share with us. I think we all glad to hear that and that's become good input for us who want to be stewardess.
Like this case, United Airlines on one of the CEO began recruiting attractive girls, beautiful, single, and has a certificate as a nurse to serve as the first stewardess across the United Airlines flight. The girls must be aged under 25 years old, with the main task to give a sense of comfort and safety to passengers.
Special training for stewardess
As a stewardess they have to act fast in any circumstances during the flight. So, they need special training. Most of training for stewardess, like:
- Controlling the passengers in a panic situation.
- how to use launcher safety (escape lide).
- Swimming and helping passenger in the water.
- Extinguish the fire using fire extinguishers.
Please enjoy all the pictures of Stewardess from many Airlines all over the world.
When we like traveling, we have experience in trying various Airlines services. We can saw the beautiful stewardess from other country. We can try different food and drink, because there is different cuisine which usually served during the flight from one Airline to other Airline from different country. Please enjoy the pictures of stewardess below.

Enjoyable hub; didn't know there was a Hooter's airline, very untraditional. :)
You have highlighted about the stewardess in a complete and most insightful manner!!
I wonder how you get the topic idea for your hubs which are always so very different!!
Thanks for the hub!!
Its really very interesting and unique topic with pics of different airlines stewardess. i did enjoyed readind .Thanks .
Hello Prasetio-Although I want to say 'yes you are right'(and you are)but then I think of my wife,to me none looks prettier than her not at least when she too is traveling with me in the same plane.Thank you.
I'm glad I'm not on the Hooters Plane. It looks dangerous! Thanks Prasetio!
This is an occupation of the past in America. We now have flight attendance that are male and female and looks are no longer a critera for getting a job.
You certainly picked the prettiest girls in the business. Thank you for all your information.
I like the Thai Airways!!
Hooters??? Are you sure they are flying planes? Hahahaha!!!
Definitely the prettiest girls in the business - where are the guys? Just kidding - very informative. In my 20s I applied and was accepted to be a stewardess until I figured out one very important 'little' fact - that I'm terrified of flying. That kind of messed it up for me and I avoid flying as much as humanly possible. It is an amazing industry. Great job, Prasetio.
Great Hub! Beautiful photos! I was going to say I preferred Hooters Air but that lady from Air Berlin at the end is awesome! I'll have to go with that one. :-)
Hi, prasetio - what beautiful girls and the ensembles they are wearing are striking - particularly those who work for Hooters Air!
I have found a method for determining if someone is over 50. You ask, "What is the word for women who serve you on airplanes?" If they say, "Stewardesses." Over 50. If they say, "Flight attendants." Younger.
The women all look beautiful, but in a chapter of my book "A La Carte", I make special note of the Singapore Girl who looked gorgeous, but couldn't cook, Couldn't even handle prepared food. But, yes, the Kimona looked beautiful. Too bad she couldn't call out for home delivery. I also found it interesting that in some mid east and Asian countries, those beautiful girls couldn't leave the hotel unescorted and without a veil. Sometimes things aren't always as they seem. prasetio! This is a very interesting hub! I really enjoyed the pics and some of the outfits are very funny! VERY cute also.......the is a very original idea and that is why I always mention you! One of my closest friends was a stewardess for a Canadian airlines and she eventually became an actress! What stories she has told me!!!!!! Have a wonderful day!!!! G
Mostly I come across very kind as well as slightly cruel stewardess within four years of flying. Thank u for sharing.
Prasetio: What an awesome hub! I actually had planned on becoming a flight attendant while in high school, but decided to go into psychology instead. Lol, a bit of a jump. I really love all those awesome pictures. Another wonderful hub from Prasetio! :)
Prasetio, This is an interesting article on the airling stewardess. I think sometimes they have a very difficult job.
Any job dealing with post 911 air travel has to be a bit of a hassle! Being a flight attendant must be especially though!
My bad luck Prasetio30-she traveled to 17 countries with me my wife, and I was unfortunate enough to see the beauty of these beauties the way you saw.Thank you all the same.
Great Job Done by you. Nice hub. I enjoyed reading.
I like to remember the stew's of the 70's... especially PSA and AIr Florida. mmmmm.
Great post!!
I enjoyed this Prasetio - Beautiful photo's. It's a job that I did give a thought to because of the elegant way they dressed and the different places they travelled to.
I wasn't aware knowing how to swim was important.
Thanks for the info.
Prasetio you have covered the stewardess uniforms very astutely - lot os different ones - some airlines I am not familiar with. Does the Hooters airline come with wings and a pitcher of Bud Lite?
In America, many young women and men, pursue the job because they enjoy travel and want to do more of it while they make a living. In the past 10+ years, men have become common in the profession. In the industry of America, they perfer to be called Flight Attendants since that term does not imply gender. Up the early '80 in America, there was a lot of sexual overtones in the marketing and dress of the women in this job and the airlines captitalize on it knowing that businessmen would flock to an airline with lots of "eye candy". Braniff was particularly fond of this approach dressing their flight attendants in mini-skirts and high white go-go boots. With the era of "political correctness" now dominating American business, the sensual aspects have long since fallen by the way. Much of the domestic airline industry of America is dominated by aging baby boomers who tend to dress down their feminine side while on the job. By your pictures, I would say the rest of the world in operating in a rather different format. Thanks for a good hub. WB
prasetio, I love how you have the reader draw their own conclusions by asking questions. This is a great tribute to the angels of the sky we all depend on for so much. May we all be more considerate of them as they do this day in and out. Thanks Prasetio. Thanks and Peace :)
I love this hub. what a great topic to write about! the photos are beautiful. I really love the Thai and Maylasia outfits, gorgeous. well done!!
I enjoyed this hub. When my brother and I were little, we would fly back and forth between our parents homes - alone. The stewardesses made our trips wonderful and were very caring of us.
great hub idea! i always thought that would be a fun job. i love helping people and making them comfortable. i love Japan Air's outfits. where do i sign up? :)
I like all of them, specially Thai and all Asians, Maita
Not what I was expecting, at all! Before I teleport next time, I just may fly Hooters Airlines. ;D
I'm only 16 years of age and my dream is to be a stewardess but I was just woundering do you really have to be stick thin ? Because if you do I think that it is discrimination and It would put me off to think that I'd have to loose weight to be a stewardess and why do you have to be stick thin please reply to me as soon as possible thanks very much sincerely yours
Nice and interesting. But you missed the Indian ones that look so good in their national attire, saree. Loved your hub. Thanks for posting.
Great hub and very interesting. My cousin is a stewardess and her husband is a pilot for Delta. They really enjoy their jobs. It's great for me too. They travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels and they bring me bags of miniature soaps and shampoos and things of that nature.
Prasetio30, You've put together a beautiful collection of good looking stewardesses here. Very enjoyable. I did fly for an airline for a time - way back. We were also trained in CPR, use of a fire extinguisher, learned how to mix cocktails (1st class passengers didn't get the little bottles), uncork and serve wine, and make safety announcements on the public address. It was a grand time with full meal services and second coffees. Very different now in the US. Enjoyed reading your hub.
Much respect for stewardess and pilots. The travel must be exciting! Voted-up/rated.
`wow...very interesting and lovely hub....
Your hub got my attention right away with the title. I haven't heard the term stewardess for many years. Let's not overlook the male flight attendents serving in the same capacity. Perhaps I am missing the point of your hub. Having said all this, I enjoyed your interesting article and think you did a good job. Thank you very much.
I am a very gay male flight attendant and would like to see some pictures of other cute male flight attendants.
Many people don't understand how important a Steward or Stewardess' job is. They have the responsibility of taking care of 200 or 300 people..making sure they are safe and happy. That is a very hard job to do and I commend them for it. Great hub..hope to read more..I voted it up and awesome!
..how nice to become an fA.
