Pamukkale, a Beautiful and Natural Swimming Pool
88I am glad to share this information for us. This place is absolutely great and beautiful. Actually I knew this place for a long time ago and I thought today is the best time for me to write about. To continue my passion to travel around the world and made all the dreams will come true. I don’t know why, travel and places topic is always interesting? And this is become my idea to write about the greatest places in the world again and again. I heard about this place about a year ago. But I don’t know I just forget about this place. And yesterday, an idea to write about this place came up again. I love something natural and I get all the natural things from this place. Of course, this place happened naturally. God have big influence to make this place so beautiful. We just seen this as something miracle appear in the earth. But don’t forget to take care all the natural side of this place, so we can enjoy this for a long time.
A miracle of Pamukkale
This time I want to write about Pamukkale. What is pammukale? Pamukkale is a natural swimming pool. Based on Turkish language, Pamuk means cotton and kale which means fortress. So Pamukkale means a cotton for tress. Pamukkale was located in the province of Denizli, in the south-west Turkey. Pamukkale is a natural site and one of the famous tourism places in Turkey. Pamukkale is a rock mountains which has so many large holes were filled with mineral water. The holes are formed like a swimming pool. When the holes filled with mineral water, it looks amazing and beautiful.
There is other story behind the forming of Pamukkale. I heard this place was formed by the earthquakes. We all know that earthquakes always make us suffer and give bad impact. Where everything was destroyed and left sadness. But I see something different in this case. We can see something beautiful which caused by earthquakes and brought a lot of benefit for human being. In here we can see the beautiful terraced pool, as a consequence of earthquakes. Why we don’t always see something positively with everything happen to this earth, like the earthquakes.
But when the winter comes and snow falling from the sky. All the snow will covered this mountain. There’s a big question in my mind? And this is real happen in this place. When the snow covered an area, I thought everything will be frozen, right! Like a river, lake or even the sea. But why the water in Pamukkale wasn’t frozen at all. The big question is why? Because the temperature of the mineral water is about 35 degrees Celsius, so it felt very warm. That's why when winter comes and the snow covering this place, we can see many tourists come to this place and soak their body in the warm mineral water pool. Why the water felt warm, because there are many hot spring in Pamukkale. The water is like never stop to flow. With the altitude about 100 meters and the golden brown stalactites, Pamukkale always looks beautiful. Good combination between beauty and miracle.
The tourists didn’t only enjoy the beautiful of Pamukkale, but they also come because they want to get a cure. It was said that hot water at Pamukkale useful to treat various diseases such as rheumatism, high blood pressure, heart disease, eyes or skin disease, exhaustion, digestive disorder , etc. They believe this for a long time ago. There are historical records which say that tourists who are bathing in this place for thousands of years ago. This place also has some historical significance. There is an old city, namely Hierapolis. I heard that we can see the ruins of the old town which has been studied for about a hundred years. Wow…. We get complete package of amazing tourism place here. I’ll put this place on my travel list. I hope I can touch the snow here while soak my body in the warm water. I believe that’s become a wonderful moment in my life. Please enjoy the video below.

You did it again, just like so many times before; a beautiful hub about a beautiful place coming from a beautiful soul. It reminds me of a similar chain of pools (much, much smaller) in Hawaii
What an unusually beautiful place, prasetio, as well as one I never knew existed until I read your hub. The photos are amazing. Thanks for the introduction.
In the U.S., there are various places where people can go to bathe in the natural hot mineral springs. One of them is Hot Springs in the state of Arkansas. People with arthritis and other similar problems visit these springs and claim they are helped by the minerals in the waters.
Another fantastic hub! What an amazing place this is, so beautiful and unusual.
I loved it all my Nephew! The video was superb and showed the beautiful marble art and structures. I was impressed with the 200 plus meter long arena. I'm always amazed at the statues and art created so long ago. Wonderful hub Prasetio! God bless you Nephew!
I'm afraid of heights, so this would not do me, but it is a beautiful sight. Lovely pictures. People look like they are having so much fun there too.
Good morning! Such beauty and unusual we only see through you prasetio, thank you so much! Vote you up as always. Polly
Fantastic. Wish I could take my girl there to lounge by one of the mineral pools. You produce some beautiful hubs. Well done.
Great hub voted up! We have hot mineral springs here in Arizona, though nothing as beautiful as that. Many are hard to get to but they are secluded so naked soaking is a go, with out getting caught with your pants down. Here is a list of some, http://www.trails.com/toptrails.aspx?area=10538
Peace 50

Prasetio, I am in awe of those natural mineral pools. Thank you for taking the time to find such an amazing nature resorts to show us. We have mineral pools in SA too, but they don’t look that awesome. The structure of Pamukkale looks more than the result of volcanic activities than of earthquakes, but, of course, I’m only speculating. Definitely voted UP and UP!

Hi prasetio, The hub has given us astonishing photos. You are writing “Pamukkale useful to treat various diseases such as rheumatism, high blood pressure, heart disease, eyes or skin disease, exhaustion, digestive disorder, etc”. It raises the question –what is the mystery with the Pamukkale water? Thanks for sharing.
You should get a job working for National Geographic with all these wonderful natural treasures you keep bringing to our attention. I had never heard of Pumakkale but it should on everyone's world tour. Cheers my friend.

HI, what a beautiful place! I think I may have seen it in a film, Homers Odyssey, which was on TV a while ago. I wondered where this incredible place was, now I know! so thank you, wonderful hub, hugs nell
Another beautiful, amazing hub, my friend!!
I visited Pamukkale twice when I lived in Turkey. I highly recommend the Pamukkale Hotel, at the top near the ruins, where the mineral waters are the warmest. They have a huge pool, deep enough for swimming, and very popular. The water is 92 degrees F year round. THere is a photo in my Turkish Travel hub. I'm pretty sure the terraced pools of "Cotton Castle" were formed by the mineral waters.
There are indeed so many beautiful places on this earth. And this natural pool is one of them. There look fantastic and sometimes we can't argue about god' works.
Awesome and rated it!
prasetio you would also be interested in the baths at Baden Baden Germany. Unfortunately I do not have photos, but visited the new spa and the historic old spa. They have multiple swimming pools of different temperatures, steam room, sauna etc.
Ah, isn't nature beautiful. Beautiful to look at and healing too. Thanks so much for finding the world's beauty and sharing it here. Yay!

Prasetio this is a very beautiful place. How I wish I was there. Thanks very much for all of the extensive research, and for sharing it with us.
Absolutely beautiful! Amazing the water stays warm. I can see why it is beneficial to those who are ailing. Must be from the now quiet volcanic activity underground. It's really beautiful. Thanks for sharing. v/r
