Mysterious Waterfall and Canyon Appeared in London
What do you think when the waterfall and canyon appeared in London? It’s a waterfall and canyon I’ve ever seen in the biggest city like London. But you shouldn’t surprise when the people can see this as amazing artwork. I am glad to share this information to all of us. If you had read my hub about “Mysterious Cave Suddenly Appeared in London”, this is the biggest one. Personally, I can’t stop my mouth to say “wow” and “wow”. We can see the pictures and the video below, how this artwork so amazing and almost close as the real one. This isn’t just come from mouth to appreciate this artwork, but Guinness World Records also recognized this as the longest and largest 3D painting in the world.
What do you think if you walk in the street, and then the waterfall and canyon appeared in front of you? You can see the detail of the canyon, until the blue water came from the beautiful waterfall. There is little space to stand. This is a place where we can see the underground water that flows beautifully between steep cliffs. Only imagine how high the cliff make us so scary, especially when it passing through. But don’t be surprised if we see some people exercise on it. But don’t be surprised if we see some people exercise on it. It's only for advertisement. It wasn't reduced the splendor of high artistic value from 3D painting. Personally, I just want to say, “It was incredibly real-looking waterfall and canyon” located in the middle of the street.
The largest and the longest 3D street artwork painting was displayed at West India Quay, Canary Wharf, London. Working with Reebok and Crossfit as the sponsor, Joe Hill and Max Lowry together create this massive 3D masterpiece. As we know Reebok and CrossFit are the famous brand and a developer of multifunctional fitness programs. Other news said that Reebok has also created a new line of clothing, this clothes specifically for CrossFit training programs. This painting measures about 1,160.4 by 106.5 meters. I heard Joe and Max beating the previous record-setting by Qi Xinghua, where his painting measures about 892.15-square-meter. This is amazing and interactive 3D artwork, it sets as a new Guinness World Record. It wasn’t one, but two Guinness World Records. The world’s largest 3D street artwork (1,160 square metres) and The world’s longest 3D street artwork (106 metres). Even visitors are challenged to stand “on the edge” of the canyon and then pass a ball to each other. They were willing to join the “extreme” workout with theReebok CrossFit team.
The sketch process
We can see beautiful collaboration between artist duo 'Joe & Max' and Reebok CrossFit to create an outdoor workout space in the form of 3D painting. A place where we might want to tread carefully between the cliff overhangs, deep crevasses, and waterfall. Joe said that he’s very proud to create this artwork in the heart of the city as his hometown and he also able to bring the world records for 3D art painting back home to England, where 3D art painting first started. He was absolutely over the moon to have broken not one but two World Records for his creation. Joe and Max need four days to complete this amazing painting between rain and wind in November 2011. The team worked day and night.
The mission behind this creation is to change the way people in the world about define, perceive and experience fitness. That’s why Reebok and CrossFit collaborated and announced their partnership with this event. Chris Froio as Reebok's Global Head of Fitness said this partnership is not just about creating fitness footwear and apparel, even sponsoring fitness competitions, but rather leads to the life-changing fitness experience that creates a fun, social community. Sorry, this wasn't recent news. This event had occurred in November 2011, but I hope still entertaining us.
A Little about 3D Joe and Max
Who is the man behind this creation? Joe Hill as the London based artist is talented artist with his partner Max Lowry have travelled around the world from New York until Shanghai (including Singapore, Sydney, Delhi, Moscow, Utrecht, Milan, Stockholm, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, etc) creating unique 3D street art. Their creations always encourage audience interaction. Such as for marketing campaigns, live events, TV commercials and music videos. Unfortunately, Max Lowry as Joe’s partner passed away on the 24th September 2010, at the age of 34 years old. He passed away at night before his wedding. Joe has working with Max for the last seven years. He always adore Max as a Renaissance man, the most energetic, the most charming, the most generous, the most optimistic, etc. Spending time with Max is the most beautiful memories for Joe, so the life is like an adventure. I believe that the longest and the largest 3D street art painting was dedicated to Max Lowry.
