Miniature Postal Service, The World's Smallest Letter
77Do you still love to send a letter by using post office service? I thought very rare people using kind of this service nowadays. I don’t know why this happen. The most possible reason is we often use technology in our life. A long time ago we still use letter to send birthday greeting, valentines, Christmas card, even in my country there were many people using letter to send Idul Fitri greeting. This was also the busiest industry for the special moment. Personally, I miss this one. Unforgettable moment was when we wait the letter came to our house. Although it just for a love letter. But the moment like that almost gone. Have you the same feeling with me? We love to use email, Facebook, Twitter, short messaging service by cellular phone or BlackBerry to send greeting. High technologies help us do all this activities only in a view minutes. Just type a letter in a small keyboard and then press a butto, the message and greeting will send to recipient. Wow, very easy and we never thought about this in the past when we still using a postal service. We called this “technology in our hand”. This phenomenon really happened in my country. Post office change function not only for business correspondence but also a place of payment of all bills. With the reason to cover the cost. Deep in my heart, I felt sad to know the fact about this. I don’t know with other country. Is the habit of sending letter through post office still done by people? I hope you can share with me.
But yesterday, I found something unique related with postal service or sending letter by using post office. Which could remind us, how we send the letter by post office. There’s a business idea come from a woman namely Lea Redmond. She was founder of “World’s Smallest Postal Service”. This is a unique service which offered by the little post office in San Francisco. I thought she is a creative person who has brilliant idea to create such of this business. I thought this is the only ones post office which has kind of this service.
Lea’s service is so special. She makes tiny transcription. She said that all the idea was came in summer 2008. But now after 15 months she has transcribed and sent thousand of letter and card. Wow, I can’t imagine a woman like her can do this alone. I thought with her talent, she makes this with all heart. She helps many people with special skill. She has done her work in the small office in San Francisco. She wrote all the customer order with her hand on special note-paper smaller, even the small stamps look cute. What makes her work so special is the letter use matching envelope complete with tiny but detailed wax seal on the back.
She doing this with all her heart until she’s come to realize many other people are simply charmed by her miniature postal service. Like an artist she uses magnifying glass to help her work. Personally, I really appreciate her works. Because all these written in tiny letters, carefully wrapped and sealed with a stamp miniature complete with sender’s initial. I would think twice about making works like her.
To protect this letter during the shipping, Lea uses transparent envelopes equipped with a magnifying glass for identifying the mailing address. To make sure this envelope didn’t get lost. Are you interest to order? Just prepare $8 for for the Valentines Day mailing rates at the World’s Smallest Postal Service. This price include the shipping charge for letter. I heard other services about small package containing an antique China button just for $10. I hope this hub give us a new knowledge about another creative person who can survive with her idea. She has profitable business, right now. And many people satisfied using her service. I hope this hub useful for us. As an information or give us motivation in life and we can create another business using our talent like her. Please enjoy all the pictures inside this hub.

I am in love with anything miniature. Maybe it's because I am 5 feet tall!
Very cool hub, a great and interesting subject, a tiny postal mail. Thanks for sharing...
Fun! I want to order some for my grand children. We used to have a certain tree that grew along the path around a nearby lake. There was a small door in the base of the tree and children would put their notes in the tree, behind the door. A fairy (some would say) responded to the children's letters in a very small type. It was cool. My kids loved it.
Prasetio, Nice hub! Very creative idea! What a thoughtful and nice gesture to give! Thank you for sharing this! Peace & Blessings!

Hahahaha!!!!!
The little letters are so cute, prasetio30, what a wonderful idea! It's such a shame that we don't write letters anymore - the only things I get in the mail these days are bills and junk mail!
That's pretty cool indeed! I would not be able to write very much - that would be a good exercise for me for a change. Very interesting thing to write about, Prasetio!
Hi Prasetio. This was a very cool hub. I still send letters in the mail to very close friends for their birthday's because it is personal. I do love the ease of email and other modern technology but there is nothing like a letter in the mail to make your day. Blessings friend.
You always write about the most unique things. I love your Hubs!
That's what we call creativity in business. A cool hub !
Oh wow, this is the best ever! How are the envelopes that small. They are teeny! LOL! They are so beautiful and they look so appealing. This is a great way to get people back into the habit of writing letters all over again, as I worry that the advent of email and social networking has affected letter writing somewhat.
You always come out with amazing hubs, prasetio. Genius!! Rating this hub, and you get a gold star for this, moi friend! Cheers!
WOW the miniature postal service post office for the worlds smallest letter is just amazing. They are works of art and so glad you found them and brought them to us. Your work is a delight. Peace :)
WoW this is incredible! :D
This is a great story pretty crazy concept.
One thing we can always count on is the creativity of the human spirit. Just when you think you have seen it all, you have not. She will probably make a buzzillion dollars doing this and I hope she does! The mail use to be very special in the USA. Many people, especially those in love who were spread apart by miles depended greatly on the mail. Even when I was in southeast Asia in the 70's, I went to the post office every day in the hope that there would be a letter from back home for me. I cherished those moments like a fine meal! Thanks for reminding me! WB
Same thing in South-Africa, though a lot of people are still too poor to enjoy the privileges of modern technology.
prasetio! This is sooooo cool! When I was young I was fascinated by miniature everything! I used to collect miniature playing cards and mini pieces of furniture for very exotic doll houses. As an adult I always wanted a small dog! I had them when I was young.....but as an adult, I ended up getting a Golden Retriever for the kids!!! The list goes on! I really enjoyed this hub and the cute little letters! I love all of the creativity and new ideas!!!!! Inspiration at its finest!!!! You INSPIRE me my friend! Thank you! Always, G
It just goes to show that there are so many people in the world that if you can find a novelty niche that's original in concept you have a great chance of succeeding.Another great find Prasetio30!

I just love creative people. One thing about this recession is that it is making us use our talents - and it is turning out that many of us are quite clever.

prasetio,This is so cute! LOVE it!Thanks for sharing this!
This is really cute (tiny letters)! Yes, I still use our postal service. Hope they never do away with it no matter what the technology. So, I believe they put the tiny letter into another package (as I was looking through the pictures), then they place it in the mail for the receiver. Neat/cute/sweet!! Voted/rated.
Hoping u & u Fam the best. Hollow right back at u. Keep it up now, don't stop! Later.
