Levitation, a Magical Phenomenon (Complete With Video)
75Have you ever heard about levitation? Actually I know this many times, especially for us who watched a magic show. I thought we all familiar with David Blaine, Criss Angel or even David Copperfield .These men could float on the air. After I was searched more deep from the internet, I get a clue about their show. It called levitation. Personally I saw this was an amazing show. For audience at home this is a great trick from great magician. We didn’t know behind their show on how they could float on the air. But yesterday after I browse on the internet, accidentally I found weird news. It said there’s a Russian girl levitating on the forest. Wow…. Another title said, “Supernatural fact or just another video trick?” in the video we can see a Russian man who playing with his dog in the forest. With the camera in his hand he was running after saw an adult behind the bushes. When he approached the bushes, he saw little girl levitating a few feet above the ground. There are two opinions about this video. The first opinion said that this was a video trick, where a little girl was tied to the trees with a rope or elastic cord. But the second opinion said that this was authentic news and the little girl really levitating on the air. From this video gave me an inspiration to know more about levitation and I want to write this to add my collection about mysterious things. I really know there are other hubs with the same topic about levitation. But I want to make this different with others. That’s why I also post several videos about levitation. A little about levitation
Levitation is a phenomenon of psychokinesis, we can see this in objects, human and animal are lifted on the air. It’s like float on the air. Science and magic took a part in this field. If we saw the magic show it looks like break the laws of physics. But most of magician used a trick to make this like a reality. We can saw a show where a magician lifted a beautiful lady into the air without their hands. There is big question, is this a miracle or just a technology? Objects or people can float called levitation. There are two things to distinguish them from different point of view.
- In term of “Mystical” the people start to study about occult science, meditation (transcendental meditation). But maybe some of them have special ability to levitate.
- In terms of "technology" the people use special tools to eliminate the gravity. Usually they use the elements of magnetic or electricity.
Since thousand years ago, the people have tried to learn the science of flying on the air by removing the force of gravity. Both in just a few seconds or minutes, even a couple of hours float in the air. Science (technology) and metaphysics (occult- magic) has developed so fast, so it is hard to distinguish between technology or metaphysic. Actually metaphysic can be explained scientifically. For example, about waves and human nerve center frequency (vibration of the brain), it can be scientifically analyzed. Supernatural and technology in fact are very similar, even identical and can be explained by logic. Maybe levitation is like a fake or trick, but can simply be explained by the sciences of physics through a logical approach. If the people can float on the air without any tools, they usually unconscious or they are in spiritual meditation. It could be check by EGG(Electro Encephalo Gram). Usually the central nervous (brain) and issued a wave vibrates at frequency theta (4 Hz ~ 8 Hz), while the frequency of the universe is at 7.5 Hz. By focusing the mind with full concentration, usually by meditation it usually managed to float. By meditation, a person can be in a state of mind. That’s why a large number of people also believe that levitation was real.
Levitation by Magician
Actually David Copperfield is my favorite magician since I was a kid. I like his performing art and about how he made everything looks real. He is very talented person with good communication skill and I thought the audiences always enjoy David’s show. I also enclose the video of David's performing art, he fly on the stage. This is my favorite. We can listen the back sound of this show, it so relaxing. And the other show from Criss Angel. I thought we all know who he is. He is a great magician with a rock musician appearance. I don't care they use a trick or not. But the most important thing from magician show is the audience really entertained with this.I know David Blaine also perform his levitation art. But this time I only post two video of David Copperfield and Criss Angel. So, please enjoy the video below.

I believe the world filled with mysterious things. Some of these could be revealed by science but another still become a mystery of the universe. I heard so many times that our body has a secret power. If we want to treat this well we can get special ability than others. We have to find the right place to dig this with professional trainer or with the expert. You may see this as a HOAX, a term on the internet for something fake. Or maybe some of us thought that it wasn’t real if we don’t see this in person. Hopefully, we can see this as knowledge. And it’s good if this phenomenon can be revealed or this still become a mystery forever.

Great hub, most of these guys are magicians so what they do would be considered tricks. I used to meditate and listen to calming music. I found while listening to flute player Paul Horn ( the album was called Inside the Taj Mahal) I felt that I was levitating. It was one of the strangest feelings I've ever had. My husband is a Magician so I see many amazing tricks everyday. Some times I am a part of his act. At one time I also performed as a Magician, but I never enjoyed it as much as my husband. He is a natural. We both have worked as professional Clowns too.
The one trick that really thrills every one is levitation. We believe it makes us all feel we have the chance to fly. I personally like the Indian rope trick.

In martial arts we marvel and cheer when a brute of a man smashes 10 bricks with his bare fist But we suspect trickery when a Tai-chi master gently tap on 3 bricks with an open palm braking the middle brick while the top and lower brick remain intact. He has perfect control and has master the art of focusing his "chi". What if a person have perfect control of his mind/body, able to align his molecular structure. becoming one with the elements that surround him?Perhaps we can say he is not defying gravity but adapting to it. Awesome hub on levitation. Well researched and you have included some really cool videos. I have seen levitation ( the illusion) performed by many magicians and also the Indian rope trick that relies on a metal frame concealed in the loose clothing.
There are other unexplained phenomena as you say that have been observed. Like levitation by Tibetan monks and some gurus in India.

Fake or fact? Indeed very interesting subject to discuss. I did heard and seen too many weird things in this world so I have to say; it can be true that people really able to levitate. Mostly if we considering the fact that usually our brain not yet fully function. Maybe, just maybe, these people brain works better than usual so they able to developed ability beyond normal. Maybe. ^_^

prasetio! This is fascinating! When I was a child I went to the Magic Castle in Hollywood a lot. I also grew up with quite a few "magicians" who still perform there to this day. I LOVE the performance....just like you it does not matter if it is a "trick" or not! I have often imagined being able to do some of those tricks! Things or people floating in the air....WOW! Its a very intresting hub Prasetio. I have heard this theory about Levitation. Levitation was first practised by Indian yogis in high mountains in the himaliyas. They got this power from a Hindu god named Shiva. They were sucessful at this and gave this knowledge of Levitation to other students.

Wow that's amazing ! What happened if our mind is suddenly disturbed when we fly, will it cause a hard bump ?.
I saw a magician flying on TV but then he revealed that he used something like crane behind him. That's an awesome hub Pras.
