I love Jogging
78I can’t wait to write this hub. Because based my experience and I like doing this activity. I want you to know that I was concerned about healthy life. So I try to life in the right way. I want to share the simplest activity. I know it looks hard to do regularly but I promise we’ll get a lot of benefit by doing this exercise. Now, I want to talk about jogging. This is like a daily circle activity for me. After prepare my slept to reach good quality of sleep. And then after wake up doing stretches, drinking water, take a deep breath, and then keep moving until my body felt warm. Before take a shower I love doing this exercise. I mean I love jogging. I usually do this four times in a week.
The benefit of jogging:
Doing jogging regularly gave us better condition and other health benefit. Jogging also gives physical and mental pleasures. I know most of us want a proof. This was commonly happen to us, before doing something or imitating others we need proof. Okay…. I’ll share to all of you the benefit of jogging. Jogging give us fixed benefits for overall health.
- Makes the heart stronger. Which increasingly facilitate blood circulation and good for respiration.
- Jogging is good to overcome digestive problems.
- Neutralize depression.
- Increasing capacity to work and lead an active life.
- Jogging helps burn your fat and good to overcome obesity.
- Jogging is also good to increase our appetite, if we have a problem with eating disorder.
- Jogging will strengthen legs muscle, thighs and back.
- Jogging make sleep more soundly.
What do we get from jogging?
Jogging is also give you pleasure, both of physically and mentally. If jogging has done correctly, you wouldn’t felt tired after finished your tour. You get nice feelings in your muscles during the jogging and afterwards. You will feel the wind blowing around your body and your face. You can listen to the sound of birds chirping. You can hear the sound of flowing water, or sound waves in the ocean (if you do so at the waterfront). Personally, I am glad to see the beautiful scenery during jogging and felt the fresh air. The best part is I can rest for a while from pollution. During the jogging you can also feel a sense of excitement.
Clothes and Shoes
The important thing before jogging is prepare something, like clothes and shoes. I thought we want something comfortable during jogging, right. The clothes you wear should match the weather conditions. In warm weather, shorts and t-shirt are quite comfortable to wear. However, if you choose the far distance route, you could bring extra clothes in a small bag, just in case if the air so bad. Choose clothing that can provide good ventilation, avoid full of stitches or the sharp edges which wrap your body tightly.
Jogging is related with part of leg, so better to wear soft and comfortable shoes. With the shape that fits for the leg. Select the base can be bent and support for every movement of your feet, so it does not make you slip.
Route and Jogging session
Jogging can be reach in various ways. If we talk about route is back to our condition, if we have healthy problem, better to consult with the doctor. There are many types of routes we can try. The long distance is between 2 until 20 km in regular speed. The short distance is between 3 until 6 km in high speed. For the average speed we can choose the distance between 4 until 8 km. Based on my experience, the quality of jogging is came from the regularly jogging and not depend on the distance. We can felt weak and tired if we choose 20 km once in a month. Better choose 3 until 6 km but twice in a week, right.
How doing a jogging session?
You can slowly moving with little effort in a few hundred meters to warm up your muscles for the first session. And then slowly add your speed. If you've done half the route, you can outrun your capacity. If the route is long enough, you can take two or three spurts using nearly full capacity. For the last hundred meters distance slowly your movement. For first of all, you must run at the same place for 10 minutes. Then you can add time, distance and speed when you get used.
Stretching your body after a couple of session
I thought we all know about this. So I recommend you to stretch before doing the first jogging session. It’s not just on your leg muscles, but also the whole body, do it for 2 minutes before and 3-4 minutes later.
When and how often
If jogging is the only one exercise, better do it once every two days. That was good enough to provide all health benefit and good to improve our condition to stay on top. But if you combine jogging with other sports, do it twice a week is good enough for health. You should not do jogging after eating, although you feel hungry. You can do it anytime, but it's a good idea to do jogging as the first activity in the morning. You can get fresh air in the morning and it is a good time to get sun rays which contain vitamin D.

Do anyone like walking? I think all of us like walking. Walking is the easiest activity and we all do this everyday. It's like simple aerobic and I believed that we do it well. Yo Prasetio!!! Your hubs are always crisp and pretty and this is no exception. Prasetio- you are like a Brother but I'm so old- maybe I'm that old uncle that smells bad, but I walk more now. But I've been hit by a couple of cars and the joints are a little shaky. So I ride my bike and walk. But I miss jogging. Great hub my Nephew!

Great info. Jogging is a wonderful way to stay fit but of course doing it properly is important. I was a jogger in my 20's but realized that I was having knee problems. So, to assure I could still walk when I got older, I turned to bicycling and hiking. (still miss jogging though)
hello there prasetio; this is a good hub about jogging. I can not jog but i do lots of stretching. even walking is hard for me, but stretching has been my thing. It keeps me in shape and works well, keeps the blood circulating when one can not do many other things.

I think jogging is not very appropriate for older people like me. Brisk walking infact is a better option for all. Jogging in the long run is not very kind to the joints, especially the hips, knee and ankles.

Prasetio, I am now a walker as I get too winded to run but I think jogging is great if you can do it. This hub makes me want to get active!

Jogging is great for stress and emotional pain. Years ago I ran 12 miles per week mostly to offset the frustrations of my personal life at the time as I was going through a divorce. Over the years, I have had to back off the jog a bit and look more to walking. But, the benefits of walking are very high so they should not be discounted in the exercise community. This was a good article...interesting and you made your points well. WB
Cool hub, Prasetio - I'm not a big fan of jogging since I broke my shin doing it but I did love running when playing soccer. Now I get to jog underwater though and that is close, right? Great hub!

Cool Hub, my friend. As a woman who jogs every day and does a five mile run on the weekends, I love running, not just to stay fit, but its good for all-round health benefits. I too love to jog and try to accommodate it whenever I find time during the mornings or evenings. At present I'm comfortable running 10 km @ a stretch and hope to improve my distance soon :) thanks for the hub !!
Awesome hub. The most important thing to take of when jogging is a really good pair of shoes. They have to be really good and comfy so that movement will not be restricted.
I have not jogged for way too long. I used to jog quite a bit. Even at my age, jogging is wonderful. Not only for all the wonderful benefits that you have mentioned, but jogging makes you feel great all over and gives you an optimistic feeling. I always feel great for days after a jog.
Hi prasetio I love jogging too i also play indoor Soccer, tonight in fact. I'm fifty eight and still very fit. I'm newish to hubpages but i am very impressed by how supportive you are of other hubbers. I have only just worked out how to 'follow' other hubbers due to having the wrong e-mail address but i can now be one of your followers and return the favour. Great advice and well presented Prasetio. I love to go for a jog three times a week. It's good to get out, get fresh air into the body and feel closer to nature. The running is great for the body and mind and is a good way to distract us from the busyness that might be in our lives. Running is a release and can help us de-stress so that we return to our daily lives refreshed and ready to face and tackle whatever we face.

There are definitely many benefits to jogging. My son wants me to jog with him. Not so sure, maybe indoors. But then again, I keep thinking about it. So, who knows, I may surprise myself. Voted/rated.

Jogging is good, but jogging outside is so much better for your body and mind. If you are jogging outside make sure fou change what you are running often so you done injure yourself. Switch it up and jog on the road, grass, sand, trails and tracks to keep your legs fresh. Good post, love your passion.
I actually completed my first half marathon this past summer, and I am going to start training for a full marathon in the spring. Have you ever done any long distance races?
Very nice hub! I run probably 2-3 times a week but it's not my favorite thing to do ever.. lol usually I do aerobics classes or strength training but running is a great thing to mix in. Great hub.
