From Cans Become Valuable Things
80Do you like drink beer? Not only beer but we usually consume soft drink from the cans. This time I want to talk about cans. We can found cans around us as a garbage. It classified into the category of dry garbage. The first I will remind us about the garbage category. There are two categories of garbage, dry garbage (non-organic waste) and wet garbage(organic waste)
Related the topic I'll describe about non organic waste. Non-organic garbage or dry waste came from non-organic compounds derived from natural resources are not renewable such as minerals and petroleum, or from industrial processes. For example glass bottles, plastic, plastic bags, cans, and metal. Some non-organic waste can not be described by natural and others can be described in a very long time.
How long the dry garbage can be described? Plastic around 50 –
80 years, Aluminum around 80 –
100 years. Most of aluminum cans made through a process that requires many energy. Trash cans can be recycled to melt and make the stem aluminum as a base for new products. Then we can saving the energy, pollution can be reduced, and the source of bauxite, lime and soda as a material aluminum base can be saved.
Are there solution for the cans garbage?
I think everyday millions people consume drink from cans. And most of us throw away those cans. There is a problem when this cans can not reused. Beside it reuse as an aluminum base in the factory. There is a green solution. We can use recycle. Recycle means recycling. Cans waste can be made crafts. Cans waste often end up in dustbin, if we can managed creatively, cans can be a valuable art work. We just need creativity to made crafts from tin can.
Sandy Sanderson, an artists from New Zealand
There is a man who dedicate him self to make a beautiful cars from aluminum cans. His name is Sandy Sanderson, he is totally great cans artist from Hamilton, New Zealand. After breaking his wrist in a motorcycle accident, he need something to do to make his busy. And the best choice is make a building model cars from aluminum Cans. He made this toy cars very detail. His toy car absolutely fantastic and some of the car required over 30 cans.
He also use super glue, galvanised wire, electrical cable, washers, aluminum tubing and a few pins from a sewing kit. We can see the detail of his toy car. It can be seen from tyre valves, wheel nuts, suspension components, foot pedals, brake hoses, lights, switches, hand brake and gear lever, carburettors with fuel lines, oil filler, and exhaust system. All about that we can see in the real car. And he made the dream of car into the reality.
With scales 1:10. We can see his craft very beautiful and good in touch. The good news is he sell his craft and we can pay for that through paypal. For me his art work like a miniature of the real car. Please take a look the picture below.

very cool. Max my anti litter lab doesn't reuse cans and bottles but he finds them and brings them to me and deposits them in a bag so we can recycle them. Read http://hubpages.com/hub/Max-Chosen-As-Spokes-Canin
I loooove those cars! How brilliant. When we were children we used to make all sorts of toys out of cans. Out of everything really.
I'd like to try this. I love model cars. Thanks for this creative and informative hub! Yay!
Wonderful Hub and what a great hobby that would be to do...
Blessings
Incredible! We surely need to recycle everything we can in this world. I love the artist you portrayed here. Cool stuff! Thanks.
Oh wow! This is stunning and amazing. It has to be one of the greatest ways to broadcast your favorite canned drinks! LOL I loved this hub, Prasetio! I am so glad you always find creative topics that the rest of us are clueless about! Thanks a million! Two thumbs up!
This is a very cool hub, Prasetio. Where do we send the cans?
Wonderful hub about what can be done. It is amazing. Thank you
The is totaly cool. It is a real art form. We recycle our cans. I remember when I was a kid we would get a few pennies for returning a soda bottle to the store. Today we recycle because it is the right thing to do but isn't someone making out on this? The users of these cans are gettting material free.
These creations are marvelous. I love them!
Now that is the coolest way of recycling old cans I have seen. Those car models are excellent. Nice hub on an important topic.
This is so great Prasetio! I have some "art" made in this way. It's a "pedicab". So give me your address and I'll send all my cans to you.
This reminds me of a famous quote one mans trash is another mans treasure. Amazing
Very Unique!
wow, that's pretty amazing!
As they say - one man's garbage is another man's treasure. Awesome creations - I bet he could even sell them! Very cool hub. Kudos :D
Wow! That is amazing, Thanks for sharing the photos. Great Hub
Wow! amazing hub prasetio30. Just amazing! You have written a great hub really. The photographs are so beautiful. Keep writing some more hubs of this type. Well done. Enjoy.
Amazing! He is a very talented artist and you portrayed him and his talent well. I hope he sells them for profit, they are really that good. As for recycling, it's one of the best ideas, however, there are not enough recycle businesses, they are few and far between. More are needed and this would be a good way to get more jobs as well. I hope someone important reads this hub and takes that into consideration. Good hub!
LOVE this hub! His cars are genius! What an absolutely fabulous idea. I do not drink pop or beer or anything else that comes from a can...lol. I guess I'm doing my part on not filling the world with my garbage. :) Really great hub!
This is an awesome hub! Fantastic pictures, too. Sandy Sanderson's ability to turn out these great looking "collectibles" out of everyday houshold things and cans, which most people consider waste - is truly awesome.
Wow! That's really amazing. I really enjoyed reading your hub.
Those cars a re amazing - thanks for researching that one out - there is a house in Houston built from Beer cans and beer bottles - I need to research that one out.
prasetio, this is a great and very important message cans become valuable things is so true and helpful. I hope many more people become better at recycling. Thanks and Peace :)
Great hub, topic, & artwork prasetio! Enjoyed the read!
What a wonderful idea for cans. We used to have an elderly gentleman that would collect all of our cans to help supplement his income. I miss him, but still try to collect the cans for someone else's use.
Those can designs are amazing. Do they sell these anywhere? Maybe I could try following directions. But, I'm guessing I will need to buy a pack of band aids first.
Great creations from recycling. This was a wonderful hub.
this is so cool, love the photos. there is a man at one of our local flea markets that makes air planes from beer cans. i always thought that this would be a great hobby. maybe one day i will learn.....thx 4 share

This is so amazing. I have never thought this can be possible. Thanks for sharing this one. This is such a good idea in recycling.
It's always neat so see such creative uses for aluminum cans. As for the entire concept of recycling, I think it is vital to do it, and for a variety of reasons including the environment.
If we feel the need to be a world of consumers, we have to be responsible about how we utilize resources, and how we deal with the byproducts of our consumerism—garbage being the largest of course.
HOW COOL! They are awesome! And how much was saved by recycling. More people should try to use their creativity to save things that are wasted daily. Thanks for sharing.
prasetio....this subject has always intrigued me! Especially creating art out of recycled things......When I was a child, I used to visit a place called Watts Towers in Los Angeles....I wanted to share this link with you.....maybe you would like to write or read about it.....I never forgot this amazing place!!!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watts_Towers
Anyway, thank you for always sharing interesting ideas, phenomenon, and cool places! Best, G
Really great ideas here!
Amazing, what creativity at work in here.
Its really interesting to hear about the creativity of people and how they turn a useless thing into a useful thing. Thank you...
there should be a how to video now how to make those great things, without paying 20 bucks or so one can art. Great hub love the pictures.
Great Hub! And a great way to bring recycling to the front of everyone's mind! There was a man I knew of years ago who collected and saved cans until he had enough that when he redeemed them for money, he had enough to pay cash for a nice used pick up truck! This is a very important Hub to make others aware of the importance, challenge, and wonderful results of recycling! Thank you so much, and keep up the good work!
For now I'm going to stick to recycling, but I love the creative models that you show in your hub. Amazing creativity and attention to detail! Great hub.
ABOUT THE BEER CAN HOUSE
John Milkovisch, a retired upholsterer for the Southern Pacific Railroad, started his project now known as the Beer Can House in 1968 when he began inlaying thousands of marbles, rocks, and metal pieces into concrete and redwood to form unique landscaping features. When the entire front and back yard were completely covered because he "got sick of mowing the grass", he turned to the house itself and began adding aluminum siding – aluminum beer can siding, that is. Over the next 18 years the house disappeared under a cover of flattened beer cans for both practical and decorative reasons. Garlands made of cut beer cans hanging from the roof edges not only made the house sing in the wind, but also lowered the family's energy bills. Ripley's Believe It or Not estimated that over 50,000 cans adorn this monument to recycling. John considered his work an enjoyable pastime rather than a work of art, but he did enjoy people's reaction to his creations. He once said, "It tickles me to watch people screech to a halt. They get embarrassed. Sometimes they drive around the block a couple of times. Later they come back with a car-load of friends..."

Enjoy Prasetio :)
Such a craftsman:) Very creative...seen these before, love the model A:) I think it would be cool, if he actually painted the parts, even though they are from recycled tin cans:) Great Share!
What an incredible artist! I looked at the cardboard article too. You are great. Check out a site called Etsy.com. It is a great site to sell your items, If you wish to market them. You are very good.
