Crop Circle Phenomenon.
76I thought many of us know very well this phenomenon. We can found several hubs about crop circle. But I don’t know why I’m so interested with this phenomenon. Maybe my passion about something mysterious made me want to write this. Actually I want to write this a long time ago, but I didn’t find the right time until I saw the news from my television and this is become popular in my country. This news became a headline in most of newspaper, even all television channels. Many of us thought that this phenomenon related with UFO, right.
Most of Indonesian people was shocked with there’s weird formation in the rice field on Sunday, January 23 2011 in Sleman, Yogyakarta. Especially when it is associated with UFOs, many people who want to see in person. They came from other city only seen this incident closely. A lot of speculation regarding the crop circle formation process. People thought this phenomenon was human creation, but some are considered purely from the natural phenomenon. But until now there's no conclusion on the cause of the phenomenon. This circle has diameters about 70 meters. There’s a giant mysterious symbol in the middle of the circle. The sign was formed in the middle of rice field after strong wind at night. The local people believe this formation as the landing of UFO.
There’s another news came up after the invention of weird formation in the middle of rice field. Several college students admitted that they are the creator of this formation. They put their experience on www. Studentmagz.com. This site mentions crop circle in Sleman made by student at Science Faculty of Gadjah Mada University. They were not working alone, but they were assisted by six friends. Still in this site, they made crop circle only to get sensation. They want to proof their ability in math and design. This is about the accuracy and precisions of design. There’s sad news that one of them was died after climbed the hill. They want to saw their creation above the hill. The police has been investigated this incident.

A little about Crop Circle
Crop Circle is a mysterious natural phenomenon which is now most often appeared. For nearly 350 years since the first appearance in England in 1647, until the last third of the 20th century, approximately 10,000 crop circles found in 26 countries world. What is crop circle actually? Crop circle is a circle form or other shapes like geometry, even the image of living creature such as scorpions, sunflowers, bees, etc. The form was diverse, ranging from a simple circle up to very complex geometric shapes. Some of these formations shaped the image of the unique flora and fauna and showing that the creator is an intelligent creature. I heard many times that Aliens is an intelligent creature. We commonly found this in the middle of farm field, especially the wheat field, like in UK, Canada, America, Australia, Japan, etc.
Many crop circles linking with spiritual activities as a series of geometry form in the farm field. According to some information, the appearance of crop circle phenomenon is often accompanied by UFO appearance in shaped ball of light. A video recorded the occurrence of a crop circle in Oliver's Castle in 1996, it showed that a large crop circle formed in just about 20 seconds.
Several versions behind crop circle
Until now, there are many speculation and views of crop circle. People thought that this phenomenon created by human, but some of them were considered that this phenomenon purely from the natural process. Speculations and assumptions of people about the crop circle always attract attention and research of scientific community. There are 5 main versions which explained the appearance of crop circles. Here's the explanation:
Man-made
Many people thought that a circle in the middle of wheat field wasn’t more that fraudulent act. According to the scientist, Anderro from UK who has investigated while researching this phenomenon for 17 years, there are about 80% circular wheat fields that was man-made. Until a UK citizen has told to the media that he and some friends are making a circle in the middle of wheat fields in London, England. They used simple tools. But the question is do they have enough time to make this, one night?
Aliens-made
Many people believe that most of the strange circle in the wheat field is formed in one night. Since 1990, Alexander a photographer from USA said he saw a strange light in the wheat fields, the light was flying here and there between the two strange circle. I heard that Aliens has high intelligence, so they can make this in good precision and very accurate. We can see this above the sky. There’s a question, what is their purpose? Whether for their ideas in painting, so there is no other place as the media in painting except a wheat field.
Magnetic field
In a magnetic field there is a supernatural power, this power can produce an electric current, so the plants "lay flat" above ground level. Jeffery Walson from USA has researched over 130 circular wheat fields, and found that 90% around the circle there are strange transformer associated with high voltage cables. Because of water around the field, the ions are removed the soil from the base of the wheat fields to produce negative electricity. While the transformer is connected with high voltage cables produce positive electricity. After the negative and positive electrical connected to produce electrical magnetic energy, then tear down the wheat and form a strange circle. The question is, do we find an electricity cables in the middle of the wide wheat field? I thought electricity cable is a dangerous thing for the farmer.
Tornado
This section has reminded me about “twister” movie. There is a different scale of tornado, like: F1, F2, F4, F4, even F5. The biggest Tornado gave us bad impact and it has massive destruction. According to the Physicists from the University of Michigan, USA, that is Dr.Delon Smith, he said that tornadoes are the main reasons that caused the strange circle. Based on his research a large number of strange circles in wheat fields that close to the side of a mountain or a region with a distance about 60-70 km from the mountain. This is a place that easier to form a tornado. There’s a question again based his research, Is a tornado can create certain precision formation like a crop circle?
Heterodoxy (discordant views)
Some people are believes that behind the circular wheat fields there were various kinds of supernatural powers, like in Bermuda triangle. According to this conjecture, there is a strange circle and then call it a "disaster notification", in order to spread the discordant views against orthodox teachings.
The biggest Crop Circle in the world
The Human Butterfly. This is a crop formation in human form with wings of butterflies found in the southern Netherlands, near the Goes town in August 2009. This formation has dimensions about 530 x 450 meters. A group of people from Project Atlas make this formation as a symbol of beauty as well as human frailty.
Dalian Cornfiled Maze. Actually this is a giant-sized maze 22.7 hectares, located near highway Dandong-Dalian, China. The shortest maze route about 3800 meters and it took approximately one hour to complete this maze. This maze created by the local government with the purpose as the promotion media to attract investors to develop the agricultural area in the Dalian.
In 2005 a mint farm in Dalponte Farms, Richland, New Jersey, the U.S. suddenly appeared bats image with width of more than 6070 square meters. But if we looked this correctly the picture is the logo of the bats of Bacardi, a company that produces alcoholic drink.
Crop formation was also found in Italy. One of the largest reported to be seen in Turin on June 13, 2010. We can saw this formation like a flower with six petals. Some observers interpreted the crop pattern formation by using the perspective of the galaxy.
The longest crop formation looks at Etchilhampton, Wiltshire, England in 1996. We can saw this like a circle and the small road with the length approximately 1250 meters from one field to another field.
There’s another crop circle at Alton Barnes, Wiltshire, England in 1998. The width of this area approximately six thousand square meters.
The record for the crop formation with the largest design, we can saw this at Milk Hill, Wiltshire, England on August12, 2001. This crop circle has 409 small circular patterns to form a six-arm design, with diameter about 243 meters.

What do you think about this phenomenon? For some case we can see this phenomenon because of human creation. But how about another case which really weird? I hope we can discuss this together. Hi prasetio, whoever made them they are certainly spectacular. I'm a bit of a sceptic and think that these designs are man made. We know they can be man made and English people are renowned for doing stupid things. So too the rest of the world, by your accounts. Great hub though, as always.
It's this sort of thing that drew me to Science fiction wwhen I was young. One thing it makes me think of is how much energy there is in nature that we know nothing about. If we could harness some of that it might solve some of our energy problems.

This is fascinating. Thank you for including so many good pictures. Considering so many are manmade, I have to wonder what an alien would think while flying over our little planet here if he/she/it saw these. How would they be interpreted? And further, what if some are made by aliens? Are they signs of some sort? Cosmic warning signs...Crazy place land only at your own risk?

What a great idea for a hub! The photos of the crop circle designs are beautiful. I do wonder how the farmers feel about their fields being damaged during the creation of a crop circle, though.

Fabulous pictures Prasetio, and on a subject I do find very interesting. I know most crop circles are no doubt man made, but I still have a doubt that they ALL are, and for those I can't help but hope they are made by UFO's, as this would be incredibly exciting, not least because we would have to ask 'Why?' and 'What do they mean, are they a message as yet not translated?'

It must be a combination of both,some from humans and other's from aliens, particularly the intricate ones made overnight. Aliens probably ignited the idea for creating them initially. I have never seen any crop circles myself, but some of my customers have claimed to have seen all sorts of strange phenomenon after smokin a few ..

Wow, these are beautiful. I've seen stories on the news but had no idea they had them in Asia too. Some of them are really incredible.
I thought that one was the bat signal but now realize I'm just supposed to drink rum. :o)
