Countries With Beautiful Snow
91I have to grateful life in the beautiful country, in Indonesia. There is two seasons in my country, like dry season and wet season.Where the sun almost shine every day. But I have a one dream which I can’t found it in my country. My dream is touch the snow and see the white snow in front of me. Actually there is a mountain in my country. The snow covered this mountain. But the problem is I am not a climber. I can see the snow in far away. I can really touch that snow,I have to climbed it first.Because I am not climber. So I had satisfied saw this mountain just on the news or internet. This mount called Jawawijaya Mountains.
So all of you who life in the countries which has winter
season, you have to grateful to God. I
know you all who life in US, Europe, Japan has four season. Like: summer,
winter, autumn, spring. And winter is in inside the list. My biggest dream is
visiting the countries with the beautiful snow. I think I’ll enjoy make
snowman, skiing, and other activity around the snow. I wish my dream will come
true.
As we know sometimes snow become a big problem and become disaster when the snowstorm comes. I saw from my television, it interfere our daily activities, we must stay at home, we can not go to the office or working, the student can not go to school. I can talk the bad because of snow. I’ll talk about something beautiful about snow. I hope this become inspiration for traveling idea. There are many countries have beautiful place, when the snow comes. From the 60 countries which have winter season. Only several countries become beautiful countries because of snow. Those countries have beautiful scenery when the snow comes. Here are the countries which have the beautiful snow. Maybe most of these places can only seen in calendar.
Canada
I have a lot of friends here on hubpages from Canada. I can easily found the picture of snow around the hubs. And most of those pictures were awesome. Canada is a country in North America, along Atlantic and Davis Strait to the Pacific Ocean. From Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta provinces until The Rocky Mountains will be turned into a paradise in the winter because of the snow was so beautiful. I hope I can go to Canada someday.
New Zealand
We knew that New Zealand is the countries which located in the southern hemisphere. An archipelago in the Southwest of Pacific Ocean.New Zealand has beautiful snow mountains.
Switzerland
Switzerland is the one of the Midst European countries which has beautiful scenery. And the country which directly bordered with the country like Germany, France, Italy and Austria. I thought most of us familiar with Alps. Most of slopes Alps territory famous as the beautiful place covered by the snow. Therefore no wonder if the Swiss have the best snow scenery in the world.
Alaska (USA Territory)
Alaska is the part of United States of America. But the location of Alaska separate from other state. From many states in Us, Alaska is the state which has the most beautiful natural scenery and that is snow. We know that Hollywood also using Alaska as a background for their movie. I enjoy all the movies about snow. Like: Lara Croft (Thomb Raider), Heart in Atlantis, Mickey.
Norway
Why Norway has the most beautiful snow? Norway is located at Scandinavian Peninsula and bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. Norway is a country which has many mountains and mostly covered by glaciers.
French
France is one country that was passed by the Alps. As we know French as a country in Western Europe. It not surprisingly French has beautiful scenery and the snow take a part. When we learn about Geography, maybe we are familiar with Mount Blanc, these mountains located on the south coast of Western Europe.
Iceland
Iceland is a country that partially covered by snow ice.A country which located near the Greenland in the north of Atlantic Ocean. Many unique places which happened by the processed of nature. Like Glaciers, geysers, waterfalls, volcanoes, Rafting, whales and other surprises await you in Iceland.
Sweden
This country bordered by Norway in the west and Finland in the northeast, the Skagerrak Strait and the Kattegat Strait in the southwest, as well as the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Bothnia in the east. Right now Sweden became a famous country as a traveling place or tourist destination. I think the government has built this country better than in 19th century. Because long time ago this country has become the poorest country in Europe in the in 19th century.
Japan
When we talk the snow, Japan can’t separated by the Fuji mountain. When the winter arrival, the views of the city will look like a fairy tale.Especially if we see the scenery of snow on the slope of Mount Fuji. It remind me about my favorite movie, when I was child. This movie has a tittle “Oshin” most of this movie taken in the snow.
South Korea
South Korea is the country in Asia which has four seasons, like in US or Europe. Most of topography is the mountains. The most beautiful river is Han and Naktong rivers. In the winter, mountains in South Korea turned into very beautiful snow mountains. I remember Korean Drama which tittle “Winter Sonata”. This is really romantic movie, which most of the scene taken in the winter. I heard the “winter sonata” island become a traveling place.

Ah prasetio30, I've lived in S. Korea and the 4 seasons are so perfect and identifiable - unlike in NYC where they now all run together.
And speaking of the big Korean hit "Winter Sonata" - you are so right - I visited Nami Island where the film was shot and women came from all over, even Japan, to take endless pictures of the Island - to pose with photos of the guy and buy souvenirs. It was packed. Great food there.
Great photos - thanks so much and I am glad you included one of my favorite countries - S. Korea, I loved the Han River and it is 70& mountains - many of which I climbed. Yay!
If you could fit Saskatchewan into Vancouver BC. You would get those pictures and then some. I have always loved the snow growing up, it was the bitter -40 degree weather that was irritable. Well done Prasetio!
Such wonderful photos. I am a warm weather person myself. It snowed a lot here this past winter and I had my fill. But it's worth it to live in the mountains. Great Hub.

We get more than our fair share of snow in my hometown of Rochester--and so people here get tired of it and aren't usually grateful for it, to say the least--but your hub proves how beautiful snow can be! I've always loved winter myself.

Like you Prasetio I live in a warm country (your neighbour, Australia) but we do have some ski fields here. Our season is only 2 months and it is expensive to ski but at least I do get to see snow sometimes when we go. Thank you for such beautiful pictures and I hope you get to see snow soon. Australia is not too far from you, come and visit our snow fields.

We get much beautiful snow here in Ohio where I live. I will have to email you some pictures some time very soon. Great Hub love it! There is nothing like feeling snow and young children love it. We had lots of snow this winter in the UK, and while it is pretty and good fun for a while, this country does not seem to be able to cope with it. After a few days of public transport packing in, the roads being unpassable and some people even losing power, it just gets to be a drag. I would rather live in your tropical paradise weather and go on holiday if I was missing snow!

Gosh you just reminded me of how much I would love to move to Alaska with these pictures! You always have the most beautiful pictures on your hubs. I live in Canada but hate the snow, well it would be ok if it only snowed for a month or two, but where i am we usually have snow 5-6 months a year! You would get sick of it, trust me. Its nice for a few weeks though.

I really enjoyed reading this hub. I also loved all the beautiful pictures. We don't get that much snow here in Georgia, but when we do I love it. It turns a dreary winter day into a beautiful winter wonderland. I really hope you get to see and touch snow one day, I think you would really enjoy it.
In England we get a little bit of snow from time to time, but it never sticks around for long. That is, apart from this winter when we had lots of it. It became quite dangerous and I heard about lots of people hurting themselves slipping on ice but I think that's just because we're not used to it - Sweden can deal with even colder conditions just fine. Great hub, snow rules!

I understand very well your desire and excitement. I went through that! The very first time I touched snow,I lived in Japan. I was playing with it as a little boy, making snow men and all sorts of things. Six years later, I wasn't so content with it. Hehehe! Snow has its charm, but when it is too much it spells trouble. However, I confess that my first experience is ingrained in my memory as one of the most beautiful ones I have ever had! You'll make it, bro! Just keep wishing strongly!

As a child I got to play in the snow in Wisconsin. Now living in Houston it rarely snows...but we had an exceptional winter and it snowed twice!! Was fun while it lasted. Snow can be very beautiful, but I would rather see it from a distance, say snow topped mountains on a hot day. As I live in Cleveland, we have an over abundance and I just don't have the same appreciation for it that way.

At first I liked snow, but then it turned into slush I had to dig out from the garage...
Nice to look at, but I would much rather have warm weather where I can wear shorts without any worries, as opposed to suffocating layers of clothes.
Now if it were possible to have warm weather and enjoy the delights of snow, you'd get the best of both worlds.

One of the reasons I live where I do is that I can be at the Mediterranean coastline in around an hour and a half or up in the Pyrenees mountains for skiing in the same amount of time. Both places are very uplifting and beautiful, but I think that if I had to choose it would be the mountains. Especially during the winter when they are snow capped and amazingly gorgeous to look at, snow as you rightly considered is something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

Great HUB! I am in Missouri and sometimes we get snow and somtimes we get ice and sometimes we get nothing. The weather here is truly unpredictable aside from the summer months and then it is humid and hot and well more humid and hot. But when it does snow in the winter months it is breath takingly mesmerizing. I live in the country so when it snows I get to see the true unveiling of pureness and stillness and awe a snow can bring. The trees look like huge white fluufy clouds fallen to earth and the ground like a blank sheet of parchment just waiting to be drawn on. I also get to enjoy watching my horses prance through the snow playing delightfully in new scenery. their light bay and liver chestnut bodies running through a field of white is absolutely stunning. Snow just makes everything look so innocent like there is a whole new world to create and do with as you please. It let's your imagination broaden at super possibilities. I can see why you long t see it and touch it.

I understand and have the same feeling with you prasetio, For long time my dream to touch snow. i ever visit to japan, there a snow.. unfortonattly i was inside room hotel.. only very short period times snow, when i get out from hotel snow already dissapear. So untill now i still not yet get that feeling.
But to face a very cold weather outside beside of snow is little unconfortable, especially for us who life in warm country. Too cold come, you had ever image before.

awesome Hub I live on the east coast in the hudson valley we have hard winters. I am not to fond of the snow after the first one.This kinda made me sit back and realize how alot of people never get to see it in person and how pretty itis even though when you come from a place it snows well you get tired of the bad that comes with it.

Wow...these are beautiful places! Just by looking at the pictures, I wanted to go there already. I'm very fortunate to live in a place with four seasons(USA). There's an unspoken beauty in snow. We just had a blizzard the past winter. It's so calm and relaxing to look at everything being covered with pure white snow. But, then it gets slushy when the snow melts. Well, no pain no gain.
I love Korean dramas. "Winter Sonata" - what a nice way to present the beauty of snow!

The photos are awesome! I first experienced snow when my mother immigrated to the New York in the USA from South America on a cold, snowy winter and I was 7 years old. I remember while in the car, I was fascinated by the white covering the roads and wanted to get out of the car to play. It's interesting that even if I had never seen of snow, or knew it existed, my instinct was we could play with it!
I saw snow for the first time when I immigrated to the US. At that time, I was still a kid. I was so excited to see the falling snow and had tons of fun playing with it. Hope I can visit all those countries listed in your hub....yes, I like to dream :)
I live in Manitoba, Canada. We get TONS of snow from November through April sometimes May. Usually 2+ feet. Love it! I couldn't imagine winter without snow!

nice hub prasetio30 :) was browsing over to find where's the good places to see snow and i bumped into here. love the selection of ur pics, love to see snow myself but rather spare that experience to give as a gift for my youngest daughter'Sarah's 18th birthday on 1st Oct. coming from a relatively same asian country like ours in philippines, not too many would have the capacity to dream of landing their feets to the gracious lands of america, canada, switzerland & others...so might as well experience the same awesome feeling at nearby South Korea where there i heard there are beautiful snow places just as well. cheers!!!

Thanks for this, I was born in a city with a tropical climate and had not seen snow until my first trip to Iceland. Unfortunately it was in the summmers,so, I have yet to experience my first snowfall. This hub will certainly come in handy when I decide upon my next winter destination.

You're right, these places are beautiful, and it's completely understandable that you want to visit a place with snow. It's one of the most beautiful things in the world. I just want to clarify, because it's the only thing that really bothered me about your post, that Canada is NOT part of an 'American country'. Canada is a country itself in North America, if that's what you meant, but Canadians are not Americans. Anyways... beautiful pictures. =)
You forgot to mention Romania! You must go there in winter time for sure! A good choice would be Bran ( were is placed Dracula's Castle) in the Carpatian Mountains.
It will be an experience not to forget!

Snow can be overrated. Of course, I'm from the midwest United States where sometimes we have way too much of it! I do like to ski and snowshoe. The photos you've included here are beautiful. Nicely done.
