I know it looks weird and nobody thought that banana could be a material for car industry. By combining banana and pineapple, scientist team at the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil) has found new materials for car spare parts. This material was stronger and lighter than the materials used so far. With a method by separate fiber in bananas and pineapple and mixed with plastic. This method produces a super-strong material, even stronger 30% than Kevlar (trademarks owned by American company, DuPont). Kevlar has strong structure, tough and heat-resistant up to 370 degrees Celsius. But Sao Paulo team found great material by mixed fruit fiber which is also lighter 3-4 times than Kevlar. Environmentally friendly new material is very suitable for car spare parts such as dashboards, bumpers, and side panels.
