Things We Can't Buy With Money
97Some people said that money is everything. Money is like a king in this world. As we know money has a big role in our life. It help us to get something, as a medium of exchange. The history of money start from a thousands of years ago. The idea for money starting from barter (exchange things), goods as a money and until now it form as a paper or coins. With a variety of currencies around the world. Who's got a lot of money in the world, of course the rich people or a millionaire.
Are they happy with their money? I don't think so. Although they have a lot of money, but we don't know inside their heart. Some of them can't sleep well because always think about their business. They lost happiness. when families need them they could not attend. For daily activities filled with meeting and run the business. They don't have time to hang out with their family. They always came late. They don't have time to eat together with family. Breakfast, and dinner is not there in the schedule. what are they searching for? the answer is MONEY.
There are many things can't bought by the money. Although we have a lot of money, but there is no happiness inside our heart. We have to consider about that. I have a list to show that money can't buy everything, like:
Loosing Time
Money will not restore the time that has passed. After the day had changed, the last 24 hours will be lost and will never return. Therefore, try to use every opportunity to express your love to your couple and family. before the time passed or you will be regret.
Happiness
It sound easy, money can't buy happiness. But this is reality. Money can make you feel happy when you paid a luxurious vacation, buying the latest electronics, beautiful penthouse or the fastest car. But all the money will never be able to bring real happiness which comes from within our hearts. This kind of happiness only comes from a happy relationship and the support and love from family.
The Children Happiness
The responsibility of parents is to provide appropriate food and clothing to the children. And it need money also. But money can't give a sense of security, responsibility, good attitude, and intelligence for children. I think this is the result of the blessing and attention we devote to them and good things that we teach to them. The money is helping us meet some aspects of parenting, but time has proven that the basic needs of each child is how much time given by the parents, not the money.
Love
There is another fact that money can't buy love. With the money we can make the people interested with us, but the real love comes from mutual respect, caring, sharing experiences, and opportunities to grow together. That's why many couples who married for money, didn't last long.
Acceptance
To be accepted by the social environment, you don't need the money. If you want to receive by the society try to focus your energy to make yourself valuable to the neighborhood with a friend in joy and sorrow. Concerned about social issues can help us more acceptable. give more time and your energy to help others. There is the real meaning of life.
Health
We need money to maintenance costs and to buy medicines. But money can't replace the lost health. That's way the others saying better prevent than cure. We should apply this suggestion. Let's start exercising, stop smoking, and many other things that we know to maintain our health. The money is useless when we get sick. We can't eat anything or everything controlled by medicine and doctor. We can't free doing activities because all day we spent in the room or Hospital. So be happy for you where still healthy today.
Success
Success only comes from hard work, determination, and a little luck. But some people who achieve success from corruption, this is the exception. There is not success for me but it stealing. There
is a small aspect of the business can bring success using the money, such as training or buying equipment, but the success comes from doing your own business with your effort.
Talent
We are born with certain talents. With the money we can do just to maximum our talent such as learning music, buy music instrument. However, experts say, to become experts in their fields, we need talent. That's why talent can't buy with the money. That's a gift from God. As a human we have to develop our talent well.
Peace
If money could buy peace, maybe we no longer we hear about the war. But the real fact said that money become the source of conflict and hostility. To get money isn't the few people who tried in a fraudulent manner even fight with each other. Competition in getting the money often comes around us. That's not good for us. Don't let the money influence us doing bad attitude. I hope we all in the right way.
The conclusion from this hub is we can learn much that money isn't everything for us. The important thing is family, friend, love and god. If we walk in the right way we can find the meaning of life and certainly know that there are many things around us which support our life. Don't ever think that money is a god. I hope you understand. My pray for you all....amen

Prasetio, I always feel great reading your hubs. They are so upbeat and so true. I loved the examples and the picture.
Money can't buy you those things but the lack of money will likely deny you those things. When you can't pay your bills and your losing your home it's hard to be happy. When the world shows you all the things other kids have and your kids are wearing second hand clothes it's hard to find peace. Succes can be bought if you have enough money; just look at the children of movies stars and tell me that they had just as a hard time breaking into Hollywood and a person off the street.
You are so right, money can't buy everything, but let's face it it makes things easier.

I have a good point from Pete Maida, small critic but develop great idea. I also agree with you Pete. We still need money. For paying the bills, loan, house, credit card, and for buying our daily need. But I don't want it become the most important thing in our life. There is a many social effect around us. But your thought is really the fact. I am glad to know it. We still need work hard to get money for our family. That's our responsibility to the family. How sad that the US economy is based on consumerism - allegedly 70% of our economy but I think it is much higher. And we are sold toxic garbage - and we buy it and are rewarded with poor health and a heavily polluted environment.
We do have to take responsibility for being so naive. We go from recession to recession to depression and then start over again.
Perhaps now lessons will be learned and we will look to friendships and good conversation and individual talents and all the other beneficial things we can do for free like yoga and meditation and a walk for relieving stress, etc.

Great hub, but great comment from Pete Maida too. Money can't buy happiness, but lack of money can cause misery.I think the mistake we make is thinking our happiness will increase the more money we have, instead of recognizing that once we have enough to take care of our basic needs, then happiness comes from other places. Also, in Western societies we equate money with having things. We think if we have more things we will be happy, often going into debt to get them, realizing too late that the stress of debt far outweighs the pleasure of owning 'stuff'.

I couldn't agree more. I wish we could go back to the day when one income was enough for a family to get by on. My wife and I make it work by having her work nights. I wish I could instead but, I don't know what I would do and she does pretty well as a nurse. It works out great for the kids so one of us is always home. After they are older she should be able to move to days. We actually have a better time now because she stopped working every other Saturday so that we can all spend the day together. We have a little less money but, it was so worth it for everyone.
Our kids favorite present that they look forward to every year is the coupons we give them on Valentine's day. The coupons cost us nothing. I just print them on the computer. They get 1 get out of jail free card. So one day a year when they are sent to their room they use it to come out. They each get a free Slurpee coupon and a free candy coupon. It costs us about $5 total. But, they love them because they know my wife or I will drop anything that we are doing and go get them the Slurpee or candy. They actually used the Slurpee coupon last night. I would have liked an Ipod Touch too but they cost a fortune and a newer better one comes out each year.

If I remember well the old Rockfellers patriarch when old was able to eat just milk and rice, I guess he would have gladly exchanged a million dollars to be able again to eat a good T-bone. Great hub prasetio, and you're definitely right. I guess money has been particularly appreciated by governments as it's easier to collect than baskets of apples or other goods. In fact barter is still widely used by farmers everywhere. But greed was present even before money, it's a sad human characteristic. But as you said it doesn't pay much in the long run, at the end we all leave everything behind. Better spend more time with family and friends, when the needed amount of money has been earned.

Money cannot buy everything. The points highlighted in the hub, such as Loosing Time, Happiness, The Children Happiness, Love, Acceptance, Health, Success, Talent and Peace. I agree with you up to certain extent. Wealth is necessary to remain happy. If you eat healthy diet, get good education; participate in sport activities, keeping yourself update with the latest changes occurring in the global arena and so on. The mandatory requirement for all this is money. Therefore according to my opinion, in realistic forum money is equally important to remain successful and happy.

fits4life, the love of money is the root of all evil; so what would you call the lack of it? We shouldn't be ashame to say we love money. It's not a crime. Although the religious places may forbid it - perhaps they teaches it is evil but we can't deny what we feel:our desire for money. Very nice article. I do, however, know a few people who have managed to become rich and still keep their God, service to others, their love of family and time with their friends as their priorities. Nice to see someone understands the better things in life are actually free. Money is needed to survive. I understand this... but, in my opinion, causes alot of pain and suffering across the globe as groups struggle for it not concerned with what that stuggle does to individuals in the process.

I agree that, "The important thing is family, friends, love and god."
I also believe that money itself is not intrinsically good or bad- it's what we want it for, how we earn it and how we spend and pass it on that matters. Rich people like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates are using their money to help eradicate disease, promote education and help eliminate poverty throughout the world, but there are also many rich people who live shallow, selfish lives devoid of love and friendship. I admire the former and feel sorry for the latter.

Of course I totally agree-- money is only good for what it represents, which is for me anyway, physical security. As my father used to say " you can only wear one pair of shoes at a time" so beyond the necessities of life, how much do you need, anyway

THis was such a good hub! And great idea. You always write on things that I wish I had thought of. Although I think money buys health. I wish I had more money to pay my health bills and a persnal chef to cook me healthy food and money to pay for the best doctors. I know that sometimes doesn't guarantee great health. Other than that I agree on all that you mentioned.
